Police ask for public's help in triple murder
Police are calling for witnesses to step forward and aid them in solving the brutal murder of a family of three in Golconda on Monday.
LoopTT was told that police had hit a “dead-end” of sorts and while CCTV footage from cameras set up throughout the highway had been secured, and reviewed, nothing of real evidential value had been found yet.
As a result, they are asking members of the public to come forward, saying that if anyone had witnessed anything, they can contact the police, or even give the information anonymously (through 555 or 800-TIPS).
On Monday morning, the bodies of Carmelita Garcia-Quintero, 62, her husband George Quintero, 53, and her daughter Marisol Quintero, 33, were all found in dead in the family’s red Nissan Frontier van.
The vehicle was parked along the shoulder of the southbound lane of the Sir Solomon Hochoy Highway in the vicinity of the Golconda turnoff.
They were all shot multiple times.
Police said the family was last seen alive on Sunday night, having gone to see a movie at the C3 Center in Corinth.
Investigations are being spearheaded by Snr Sup Zamsheed Mohammed and Sup Winchester of the Southern Division and the Homicide Bureau, respectively.
