Police to crack down on traffic violations on key streets in PoS
Created : 2 November 2018
Illegal parking and other traffic violations on Park Street, New Street and Frederick Street in Port-of-Spain will no longer be tolerated.
A release from the Port-of-Spain City Corporation said Mayor Joel Martinez and Councillors have resolved that the police enforce the traffic regulations on those main streets between the hours of 3 pm and 5 pm from November 1.
"This is as a result of several complaints from irate citizens and residents about the horrendous traffic which is caused by irresponsible drivers. This type of recklessness has a serious impact on the quality of our citizens and burgesses," the release said.
The Corporation is imploring citizens to comply with the laws particularly when it comes to illegal parking.
