Police destroy $.1 million worth of marijuana in San Juan

One hundred marijuana plants valued at $.1 million dollars were discovered by officers of the North Eastern Division Task Force during an anti-crime exercise in the San Juan district earlier this week.

The exercise was conducted between 2 pm and 10 pm on Monday.

Acting on information, officers proceeded to an abandoned house at the top of Shadow Hill, Laventille Road, San Juan, where the fully grown plants were found and subsequently destroyed.

The drug has an estimated street value of TT$100,000.

No arrest was made in connection with the find.

The exercise was supervised by acting ASP Michael Sooker and acting Sgt Simeon Guelmo.
