Police destroy $2M worth of marijuana in Biche

Police have destroyed yet another large seizure of marijuana in Biche after a camp was found on Wednesday.

According to a statement from the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS), the find was worth approximately TT$1.8 million.

The exercise which was supervised by Sgt. (Ag.) Mahabir, took place on December 5, 2018, also included officers attached to the Eastern Division Task Force Area Central and South.

During the exercise, officers proceeded into a forested area along Kowlessar Trace, Biche, where they discovered a camp containing 1800 fully grown marijuana trees.

The plants have an estimated street value of TT$1,800,000.

Investigations are ongoing.
