Police destroy marijuana field in Palo Seco

A drug eradication exercise in Palo Seco led to the destruction of $75,000 worth of marijuana, along with 150 seedlings.

Officers of the South Western Division Task Force, along with officers of the Santa Flora Police Station, carried out the exercise between 12:30 pm and 3 pm on Wednesday.

The lawmen proceeded to James Trace, Palo Seco, where they observed a man running off into the bushes.

The officers chased after the suspect, but he escaped.

During the chase, the officers came upon a marijuana field with approximately 75 marijuana trees and 150 seedlings.

The trees and seedlings were uprooted and subsequently destroyed.
