For some, it's a dog's life, but for police service dog Betty, finding narcotics is just part of the job.
According to a statement issued by the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) on Sunday, Betty was working with her fellow officers in the Shirvan Road district, Tobago Division, between 11.40 am and 12.35 pm, when she caught a scent.
The TTPS said Betty was able to lead officers to a bushy area where they discovered a kilogramme of marijuana.
The TTPS said the exercise was coordinated by Snr. Supt. Aguilal, spearheaded by Sgt. Stewart, supervised by Cpl. (Ag.) Moses and a party of officers from the Tobago Divisional Task Force and Canine Unit.
Enquiries are continuing.
