Police find $100K marijuana in old cocoa house in Toco

Marijuana plants with an estimated street value of $100,000 were discovered in an old cocoa house by Eastern Division officers during an anti-crime exercise in Toco on Tuesday.
The exercise was conducted between 9:00 am and 12:00 pm.
During the exercise, officers carried out a search of an abandoned structure in the area when they observed a quantity of marijuana hanging from the ceiling of an abandoned cocoa house at Maya Village, San Souci.
All 32 pounds of the plant were transferred to the Toco Police Station where it was later destroyed.
The exercise was supervised by Cpl Raphael and included officers attached to the Matelot and Toco Police Stations.
