Police find murder victim in Valencia forest

Police are currently on the scene of a shooting in Valencia which has reportedly left one man dead and another hospitalised.

According to reports, around 5 pm on Monday two men were on their way to a garden in a forested area close to the Trinidad and Tobago Defense Force’s Cumuto Camp, when they heard explosions coming from the forest.

One of the men felt a burning sensation and ran out of the forest onto Wallerfield Road.

He was picked up and taken to the Sangre Grande Hospital where he remains warded.

The individual is said to be known to police as a drug offender.

Police were only informed of the second victim around 10 pm on Monday, when the hospitalised man revealed that he was accompanied by another person when the incident occurred.

The Officers made their way to the forested area and found the body of Terrance Bacchus of KP Lands, Valencia this afternoon.
