Police investigate Indian Walk chopping incident

Police are investigating a fight between two men which has left them both nursing chop wounds.

According to reports, a 47-year-old man was standing in front of his home at Perry Young Road, Indian Walk, Princes Town, when he was approached by a 57-year-old man he knew from the area.

An argument ensued, which became physical.

During the fight, police were told that the 57-year-old secured a cutlass and dealt the younger man a blow to the left side of his neck.

The suspect then escaped on foot.

The injured man was rushed to the Princes Town Health Facility where he was treated, however, he decided to discharge himself.

Meanwhile, the 57-year-old man eventually sought medical attention at the same institution with injuries he sustained including lacerations to the face and left thumb.

The older man is expected to be interviewed by a team of officers led by Sgt Richardson on Friday.
