Police investigating after Tobago woman allegedly raped at work

Tobago police are investigating a report that a 55-year-old woman was allegedly raped at gunpoint, while at work, on Wednesday morning.
The victim who police said was attached to the Tobago House of Assembly's Division of Community Development, was allegedly held against her will and sexually assaulted at about 6.30am on Wednesday morning in the vicinity of Pentland Road.
Police investigators were told that she was at her workplace when a man, armed with a firearm, accosted her.
He demanded that she hand over her cash and valuables, following which, he allegedly took her to the washroom of the building and sexually assaulted her.
Shirvan Road Police are continuing investigations.
