Police kill 'wanted' man in Arima

Police have shot and killed an Arima man following an alleged exchange of gunfire on Tuesday evening.

Details are sketchy at this time however, the deceased has been identified as Stephon Plaza of Maturita.

Sources say he is a known drug offender wanted for three recent shootings in the area. 

Reports say Northern Division Task Force Officers approached the suspect at Maturita extension when they were shot at. They returned fire and Plaza was hit. He was taken to the Arima Health Facility where he succumbed to his injuries.
