Police: La Brea man killed by passenger

A 32-year-old man is dead following a shooting incident in La Brea.

The deceased has been identified as Ryan Alexander.

According to reports, at about 12:05 am on Friday morning, police were contacted about a white Nissan B15 motor vehicle which was seen parked in an awkward position along the roadway.

A team of officers made their way to Union Village, La Brea, where they found the car.

In the front seat of the car, officers found the bullet riddled body of a man.

The area was cordoned off and crime scene investigators examined the scene.

Based on the location of the entry wounds to the back of the body, police believe that the victim was killed by someone who was seated in the backseat of the car.

The deceased was later identified by relatives who visited the area.

An autopsy was expected to take place today at the Forensic Science Center in St James.
