Police: Indian Walk gardener's death being treated as homicide

The death of 37-year-old Kevin Edwards is being treated as a homicide.

Edwards, of Sixth Company Circular Road, Indian Walk, was found dead on Monday morning in an open lot of land a short distance away from his home.

His body bore several injuries to the head and torso.

It appeared that the 37-year-old man had been beaten and stabbed.

The body was clad only in a pair of short pants at the time of the discovery.

Police were told that Edwards had been threatened in the past by persons known to him.

He was said to have been employed as a security guard.

Inquiries into this incident are said to be ongoing.
