Police officer charged for using the Bus Route

A superintendent of police has been fined for unauthorised use of the priority bus route (PBR). 

The superintendent, attached to the Transit Police Unit, was issued a fixed penalty ticket.

According to reports, the officer was stopped around 7 pm on Thursday along the PBR while driving a blue Hyundai motor vehicle. 

He was said to be in the company of a woman.  

The fine is said to be $2,000 and is expected to be paid by January 16.
