Police officer gets death threats

Police are currently investigating a report in which threats were made against the life of a 32-year-old police officer.

According to police reports, at about midnight on Sunday, the victim, who is said to be attached to the Crime Scene Investigations Department at the Sangre Grande Police Station, was standing outside of his home in Canque Village, Biche, when he was approached by a man known to him.

The man allegedly threatened the life of the officer, telling the 32-year-old that he would be shot and chopped in the near future.

When the officer attempted to confront the assailant, the man fled the scene.

A report was made to the Biche Police, however, when checks were made to the man’s home, he was not there.

Police are currently searching for this individual.
