Police officer's home shot at in Piarco

Authorities are investigating after the home of a police sergeant was shot at in Piarco.

No injuries were reported in the incident, however, investigators are pursuing all angles and are expected to review CCTV footage to determine the identities of the suspects.

Loop News was told that around 6.00 pm on Friday, the sergeant, who is attached to the homicide bureau, secured his home and went away.

The 42-year-old officer returned around 6.30 pm on Saturday and observed that his home had been damaged.

There appeared to be bullet holes to his front wall, window, and fridge.

Sgt Highly of the Arouca police station is continuing inquiries.
