Police recover car stolen from Princes Town home

Princes Town police are investigating a report of larceny.

The victim is a 25-year-old man from Cedar Hill, Princes Town.

He told police that around 9 pm on Saturday, he secured his car in front of his home and retired to bed.

He awoke around 6.30 am on Sunday and realised that the vehicle – a white Nissan Tiida – was missing.

The value of the car is estimated at $60,000.

The police were notified and a team of officers from the Princes Town Police Station responded.

PC Rampersad, along with other officers, conducted inquiries, which led the lawmen to Habib Trace off the Southern Main Road, Warrenville where the stolen vehicle was found and secured.

It is to be examined by crime scene investigators to uncover fingerprints.
