Police recover van, hold woman for questioning

Police have detained a 27-year-old woman for questioning in connection with the theft of a Toyota Hilux, which was recovered earlier this week.

In an update shared Thursday, the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) said the woman was arrested and the vehicle, which had been reported stolen at gunpoint from Marabella on January 16, was recovered by officers of the Northern Division Special Investigations Unit, during a stolen vehicle recovery exercise.

The exercise was carried out in the Valencia district between 12:00 pm and 4:00 pm, on August 15 and the vehicle was recovered at San Pablo Trace, Valencia.

The exercise was supervised by Insp. Roger Joseph of the NDSIU.
