Police rescue man from kidnap attempt
Three men are in police custody following an attempted kidnapping in Wallerfield yesterday afternoon.
The victim, a 31-year-old man from La Horquetta, told police that around 1.30 pm he was walking along Antigua Road, Wallerfield, when three vehicles pulled up alongside him.
The victim told police he recognised two men in one of the cars, who asked him about money owed. He told them he knew nothing about owing any money to the group.
The men then got out of the vehicle, assaulted the 31-year-old, and then threw him into a black Toyota Corolla and drove off.
