Police seek help in identifying body found in Tobago
The body of a man which was found in Mason Hill, Tobago, on Tuesday, had not yet been identified up to Thursday morning.
As a result, police are calling on the public’s assistance in identifying the deceased.
The body was said to be that of a man of mixed descent, about six-foot tall, medium build, and whose hair was plaited in cane-rows.
It was discovered on Tuesday evening near a construction site off Les Coteaux Road, Mason Hill.
There appeared to be a wound to his neck.
The wound, LoopTT was told, resembled that of a cut made with a sharp instrument.
However, an autopsy is needed to confirm this – which can only be done once the body is identified.
As a result, anyone with information which could lead to the identity of the deceased is asked to contact the Scarborough Police Station, or the nearest police station to them.
Information can also be given anonymously to 800-TIPS or 555.
More on this as it becomes available.
