Police Sergeant found dead by his fiancee

A police Sergeant attached to the Chaguanas Police Station was found dead by his fiancee on Friday.

Reports say around 7.15 am, the woman left Sgt Allan Jodhan's home located at Orchard Gardens, Chaguanas.

An hour later, she communicated with him via WhatsApp and returned around 3.30 in the afternoon.

Unable to get inside the apartment, she contacted Chaguanas police who responded and forced their way into the building.

Sgt Jodhan was subsequently found unresponsive on his bedroom floor.

There was no visible mark of violence and his firearm was retrieved.

Sgt Jodhan and his team were known for reducing violent crimes that were rampant in the Enterprise area around 2016 and according to sources, remained largely unrecognised.

The team that took the fight to Enterprise include PC Gangaram, PC Prime, PC Ali, PC Ramjattan, PC Baksh, PC Husbands and PC Joseph creating history. The squad was formed under the supervision of retired Snr Supt Johnnie Abraham, Supt Kenny Mc Intyre and ASP Smith.

Loop News was informed that the methods implemented by Sgt Jodhan are now being used in other divisions.

"Again our hard work went unrecognized and we were transferred via mere allegations by the same persons we were taking the fight against."
