Police: Severed arm may belong to a woman

Police suspect that the severed arm of a human being which was found in Longdenville in December may belong to a woman.

The arm was given a preliminary examination at the Forensic Science Center this week, and police were told that the arm had “female features”.

Police said around 6.45 pm on December 26, the arm was found in a forested area off Depot Road, Longdenville.

However, police said no body or other body parts were found nearby.

Police also alerted medical institutions for anyone seeking medical attention.

However, up to 8.00 am Thursday no one had been admitted for similar injuries.

Loop News was told that in the past, the area off Depot Road had been used to dump the bodies of murder victims.

More on this as it becomes available.
