Cops still searching for kidnappers who dressed in "police" clothing

Police are still searching for four men who used "police uniforms" to kidnap 29-year-old Clint Beharry on Saturday.

Beharry was kidnapped at his business place at Born Free Recreation Bar in Blitz Village, Pleasantville, around 11am.

However, around 8pm that day, he was released and found wandering along the Churchill Roosevelt Highway, near the UWI, St Augustine.

A $100,000 ransom was demanded for his safe return, however, it was not paid.

Officers of the Anti-Kidnapping Unit under the supervision of Assistant Commissioner of Police Irwin Hackshaw, Acting Senior Superintendent Ajith Persad and ASP Singh, among several others, are conducting inquiries.

Two of them men were captured on CCTV footage, which was posted on various social media sites, wearing what appeared to be uniforms with “police” printed on the clothing.
