Police still searching for suspect in woman's stabbing attack

Police are still searching for a suspect in connection with the brutal stabbing of a 34-year-old mother of three earlier this month.

Police said, the victim, Emily Roberts, is still warded at hospital being treated for the injuries she sustained.

The incident took place on the morning of May 7, at her Crown Trace, Enterprise home.

The woman was seen running along the roadway, screaming for help before she collapsed.

The police and paramedics were notified and the wounded woman was rushed to  the Eric Williams Medical  Sciences Complex.

Roberts, police said, had been stabbed at least 10 times -  including twice to her stomach.

The suspect is said to be a male relative.

Police are following several leads with the aim of making an arrest, however, anyone with information which can lead to the detention of the individual is asked to contact the Chaguanas Police Station, or any police station nearest to them.

They can also give the information anonymously through 555 or 800-TIPS.
