The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) is urging citizens against flocking to beaches and gathering in groups of more than 10.

The warning comes as beaches were reopened to the public this week as Government continues its rollback of restrictions to limit the spread of COVID-19.

Beaches are open from 6am to 6pm daily.

Police are asking citizens if they do visit beaches to comply with social distancing guidelines, to do their part to spread the spread of the coronavirus.

Police are conducting beach patrols as the authorities work to enforce the public health regulations.

The TTPS assured that it will continue to enforce the existing COVID-19 regulations and those found in breach of these rules will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.
