POLL: Rihanna urges US voters to 'make history'
Philanthropist, international superstar, businesswoman.
Those are some of the words that best define Barbadian-born mogul Rihanna.
Yet it seems like another title is always being added to the girl we've watched blossom into an ambitious, enterprising and passionate women.
This time around you can add political activists - something Barbadians know about firsthand.
It was back on May 22, just days before the May 24 General Election, that Rihanna caused a social media storm by embracing now Prime Minister Mia Amour Mottley.
Now she is letting her voice be heard in the country where her career took off and raptured to the world stage.
As persons across the United States prepare for this year's midterm election, RiRi is urging them to exercise their right to vote.
She is especially pleading to those in Florida to make history by electing its first black Governor.
"FLORIDA: You have the opportunity to make history this election. The US has only had four black Governors in its entire history, and we can help make #AndrewGillum the next one and Florida’s first!" She posted to her Instagram page today.
This was not the first time she has been vocal about politics in the United States, as many of the previous posts on her profile are dedicated to the upcoming election.
Who knows what's next for Rihanna - would you like to see her involved in elective politics someday?
