POSGH relocates patients as safety precaution following earthquakes

The North West Regional Health Authority (NWRHA) has opted to evacuate patients from the fourth and fifth floors of the Port of Spain General Hospital (POSGH) in light of the recent earthquakes which shook Trinidad and Tobago.

On Tuesday, T&T was rocked by a 6.9 magnitude earthquake while on Wednesday morning, a 5.9 aftershock affected the country.

Loop TT contacted a representative of the NWRHA who noted that persons were dispatched from the fourth and fifth floors to other areas of the hospital "out of caution".

The representative further noted that a media release would be issued in short notice.
