Prime Minister in St Kitts for CARICOM meeting
Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley has left for St Kitts and Nevis to attend the 30th Inter-sessional Meeting of the Conference of Heads of Government of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM).
Minister of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs Dennis Moses will also attend the two-day meeting which begins tomorrow.
According to the Office of the Prime Minister, the meeting will focus on, among other things, advancing further action on the CARICOM Single Market and Economy (CSME) which took the forefront at a Special Meeting of Heads in Trinidad and Tobago in December.
Recommendations from a Special Meeting of the CARICOM Council for Trade and Economic Development (COTED) on Transportation will also be examined.
The Prime Minister is due to return on Thursday.
Finance Minister Colm Imbert will act as Prime Minister until Rowley's return.
