Princes Town man killed in road accident

Police are investigating the death of a 34-year-old man who was killed in a motor vehicular accident on Saturday.

The deceased has been identified as Adesh Ramnath of Cedar Hill, Princes Town.

According to police reports, at about 8:30 am on Saturday, Ramnath was driving a silver Nissan Station Wagon which was proceeding along the M2 Ring Road in Debe, when, for reasons unknown, he lost control of the vehicle.

Unfortunately, the Station Wagon came into contact with a white Toyota Minivan driven by Virendra Gangaram.

The police and emergency health services were immediately notified, but unfortunately, Ramnath succumbed to his injuries.

Gangaram was rushed to the San Fernando General Hospital where he is being treated.

An autopsy is expected to be performed today to confirm the cause of death and to determine if there were any other factors involved in the 34-year-old losing control of the car.

More on this as it becomes available.
