'Priority offender' in custody Loop News Created : 11 October 2017 Crime A man who has been described as a “priority offender” is currently in police custody. Police said the suspect, said to be from the Las Cuevas area, was arrested on Tuesday during police exercises in the North Eastern Division. The exercises were conducted by Snr Sup Sagramsingh and Sgt Taylor. The suspect, police said, is well known to law enforcement in relation to several allegations of acts of violence in the Las Cuevas community. He was held in relation to a recent report of wounding in the area. As a result, he was scheduled to be placed on identification parades on Wednesday, following which, if he is pointed out, he is expected to be charged with the offence of causing grievous bodily harm. Police added that the exercise was incident-free. More on this as it becomes available.
