Prison officer’s home shot at

Police are investigating a report in which the home of a prison officer was shot at on Sunday.

According to reports, around 12:30 am on Sunday, officer’s wife and four children were at their home in Pleasantville, when they heard several explosions.

The family took cover and notified the prison officer as well as the police.

The officer, who is attached to the Golden Grover Prison in Arouca, arrived at the home a short time later.

He observed several bullet holes in the wall.

The officer said he had no idea why he was being targeted.

His home was also shot at last year.

Last week, a voice note in which someone ordered criminals to kill ‘any two officers’ surfaced on social media.

Police believe the incident may be linked to the voice note.
