Public urged to help find suspect in hiking attack

Social media calls have gone out to help find a suspect in connection with sexual assault and robbery in Cumaca. 

A social media post decribing the attacker was shared, urging anyone with information to contact the police.

The posts were made following reports of two friends who were attacked and robbed while hiking in Cumaca. 

The attacker reportedly robbed the man and woman then forced them to perform a sex act, following which the attacker sexually assaulted the woman.

The suspect is is described as about five feet, four inches, of slim build, with large, dark-brown eyes. 

The man wore knee-high black boots and a black face mask as well as a black head wrap. 

The man had a black handgun and a cutlass on his waist. 

The poster pleaded with the public not to hide the person:

'Someone, somewhere must have seen him around the Valencia/Cumaca/Turure (area) changing in or out of that outfit. Someone knows who he is. Someone knows what he does.'

'I beg you. Do not hide him. Think of your daughters, mothers, cousins, nieces, aunts. Help make sure he doesn't rape and rob anyone else.'
