Regus, the world’s largest provider of flexible workspace solutions, has opened its second centre in T&T with the opening of a Regus Business Centre in San Fernando.

The business centre, which boasts a combination of office space, meeting rooms, co-working facilities, and a business lounge opened this month offering creative working in the bustling business district of Gulf View.

Located on the eighth floor of the Gulf City Complex, the contemporary interior of the Regus Business Centre has been designed to provide a unique and exciting working environment to suit the needs of small and large businesses alike.

With 39 offices of varying sizes, 100 workstations, three meeting rooms including a board room, and a business lounge, the centre will be a great addition to the business landscape in San Fernando.

Outfitted with world-class IT and Telecoms infrastructure, the centre is designed to support the needs of all its clients.

The centre will also offer ‘virtual offices’, which provide companies a prestigious address, as well as call-answering services and mail forwarding, even if they are based elsewhere. This helps businesses project a more ambitious and professional image to local, regional and international customers.

Regus, has a network of 3,300 locations in over 1,000 towns and cities across more than 120 countries. Williams Offices (Caribbean) Limited which is licensed to operate Regus in a number of Caribbean countries, now boasts four centres across Barbados, Jamaica, and Trinidad & Tobago. A centre will soon be opened in Guyana.

Delivering the feature address, Trade Minister Paula Gopee-Scoon congratulated Regus on the expansion of its business into San Fernando.

"The decision to expand here is a true indication of the appeal that South Trinidad and the broader Trinidad and Tobago has to global and local companies. The opening of this outlet is a clarion call to other private sector entities that South Trinidad has numerous lucrative opportunities and is indeed open for business.”

One of the key benefits of the Regus Centre in Gulf City is that businesses who have staff travelling daily into the capital city can now take a satellite office there and have their staff split their time between San Fernando and Port of Spain thereby improving their work-life balance and ultimately, their productivity.

General Manager for Regus, Trinidad & Tobago, Stephanie Quesnel, said the new South centre offers a solution for people spending countless, precious hours commuting into Port of Spain.

"Companies will now have the option to take a fully-equipped, professional and world-class office space at Gulf City to not only boost productivity but to improve the work-life balance of their staff”.

"Since opening in 2017, a dynamic community has been built at the Regus centre at Invader’s Bay with a diverse mix of clients from multinational corporations to start ups and consultants. I look forward to seeing a similar community develop at Gulf City. With an abundance of parking and amenities close at hand, the Regus centre can become a one stop shop for businesses in South,” she added.

Mark Linehan, Managing Director, of the Regus franchise in the Caribbean said the opening of the new workspace is in keeping with the changing world of work.

"People and businesses are using flexible working and different workspaces more than ever.  Since opening Regus Invader's Bay we have seen businesses in Port of Spain take advantage of our workspace solutions and we have seen a thriving business community grow.

With the opening of Regus Gulf City, San Fernando can now boast of having a world-class business centre allowing businesses to choose flexible working for their workforce. We are very excited about bringing our dynamic brand of workspaces to South and plan to further expand our footprint across the region overtime”.
