Retiree surrenders after stabbing man near La Brea Play Whe booth

A 61-year-old retiree is currently in police custody after turning himself in for stabbing a man during an altercation in La Brea on Thursday.

Around 8:00 pm on Wednesday, the suspect of Pier Road, La Brea, entered the La Brea Police Station and admitted to stabbing a man twice during an altercation along Majuba Road.

Earlier on the said date, at around 6:00 pm, the suspect said he got into an argument with a man he knew near a Play Whé booth.

During the altercation, he stabbed the victim in the chest and back before escaping on foot.

The victim, a 40-year-old man of Queen Street, La Brea, is currently warded at the San Fernando General Hospital in critical condition.
