Revolvers seized in Central Division
Anti-crime exercises in the Central Division on Monday saw the arrest of one man and the discovery of three Smith and Wesson revolvers and a quantity of ammunition.
According to reports, officers of the Central Division Task Force and Central Special Crime Unit, conducted the exercises between 5pm and 10:30pm on Monday.
They executed a search warrant at the Todds Road, Caparo, home of a 41-year-old man around 5pm, during which they found a Smith and Wesson revolver along with one magazine containing eight rounds of 9mm ammunition.
He was subsequently arrested for the find.
Nearly three hours later, the officers, acting on information, went to Pranz Gardens, Claxton Bay, around 7:45pm where a search of a bushy area at the Pranz Gardens Recreation ground was conducted.
A Smith and Wesson revolver, together with four rounds of .357mm ammunition was found.
No arrests were made in connection with this discovery.
Then, around 10:30pm, the officers conducted a search at Commonwealth Drive, Freeport, where they discovered another Smith and Wesson revolver, along with three rounds of .357mm ammunition, hidden in the roof of a makeshift shed.
No one was arrested in connection with the find.
