Road upgrade scheduled for Monday on Winward Main Road, Pembroke

The Division of Infrastructure, Quarries and the Environment is advising the public that a road upgrade is scheduled to begin on a segment of the Windward Main Road, Pembroke in the vicinity of Sailor’s Home on Monday, October 8.

This is necessary to address the significant failure of the stone retaining wall which has undermined the road’s surface.

The first phase of the upgrade is estimated to last three months. Accordingly, access along the Windward Road will become limited from Top Hill to Sailor’s Home. Motorists are advised to utilise Top Hill Road when proceeding east and the Windward Main Road when proceeding west.

The Traffic Division of the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) has been advised and officers will be dispatched to monitor and control the flow of traffic as needed.
