Roll addresses food safety concerns after old video surfaces
Roll is assuring customers of the safety of the food offered at its restaurant, following the circulation of a 14-month-old video highlighting concerns over the security of food at its establishment.
In a post to the food outlet’s Facebook page, customers were informed that the situation arose due to an equipment malfunction at the time.
The equipment was disposed of and replaced immediately, without undue delay.
Further assurance was given that all necessary steps to ensure food safety and security were taken.
But, the restaurant’s management is now warning those engaged in “malicious attempts to malign the restaurant’s reputation” that those attempts will be met with the necessary legal action”.
The restaurant’s management assured that steps were taken to have the relevant authorities re-inspect the premises to ensure adherence to required codes.
“It should be duly noted that Roll Restaurant conforms to all public health requirements as evidence by our valid Public Health Inspection Certificate.
We take this opportunity to re-assure our valued customers that we remain committed to ensuring food security, attentive customer service and an overall enjoyable experience,” Roll concluded.
