Rough sea conditions are forecast to continue throughout the Carnival period, with significant improvement expected by Wednesday.
The Meteorological Service (Met Office) on Sunday said sea conditions continue to be rough, with wave heights reaching 3.5 metres along exposed northern and eastern coastlines, and occasionally choppy in sheltered areas.
Major improvement is expected Wednesday into Thursday with wave heights forecast to become less than three metres.
Small craft operators, sea bathers and all other marine interests are asked to exercise caution in all sea-related activities.
The Met Office will provide an update on the sea conditions at midday on Monday, or sooner, if the situation warrants.
