Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley is expected to meet with United Nations Secretary General, António Guterres on Monday.
Dr Rowley will depart for New York this morning where he will join a CARICOM delegation which will meet with Guterres.
Minister of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs, Dennis Moses will accompany the Prime Minister on this trip.
At the CARICOM Heads of Government emergency meeting last Thursday, it was agreed that Chairman of the Conference, Prime Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis Dr Timothy Harris, would seek an urgent meeting with the United Nations Secretary-General to request the United Nations’ assistance with the ongoing situation in Venezuela.
Prime Minister Rowley is expected to return on Wednesday.
Minister of Finance Colm Imbert will act as Prime Minister.
