Police are investigating a report of a robbery at a popular restaurant at a shopping plaza in Chaguanas.
Police officers were told that around 1:00 am on Saturday, the manager of the restaurant, together with security personnel, secured the building and left.
In the manager’s office was a safe which contained the previous day’s sales of an estimated $15,000.
However, upon returning to the establishment at about 8:00 am on the same day, the safe could not be located. Additionally, a computer tower from the office had also been stolen (value to be ascertained).
The police were notified and officers from the Central Division responded.
There were no visible signs of forced entry, from initial inquiries.
PC Harrinanan is continuing inquiries.
