Saharan Dust to linger until late in week

The Meteorological Service (Met Office) is advising of a surge in the presence of Saharan Dust. 

A significant Saharan dust presence, which began late on Monday is expected to last until Thursday.

The Met  Office further advised that the dust will linger until late in the week, when rainfall events are likely.  

Allergy suffers are specially advised to take necessary precautions to ensure their well being. 

Protective measures include: covering the nose and mouth when outdoors; protecting eyes using sunglasses when outdoors; and keeping inhalers and allergy medication on hand.
