Sangre Grande murder victim identified

A man who was shot dead in Sangre Grande on Saturday has been identified as 39-year-old Francis Joseph, of Guaico-Tamana.

An autopsy was carded to take place at the Forensic Science Centre in St James on Monday.

Joseph’s bullet-riddled body was found on Saturday afternoon at the side of the roadway off Mandillon Road, Coalmine, Sangre Grande.

When officers arrived, they found the body of a man lying face down on the pitch. He appeared to have a wound to the side of his head.

A team of officers led by Snr Sup Aguilal visited the scene.
