A Santa Cruz man was arrested after a revolver with ammunition were seized by police earlier this week.
According to a statement issued by the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS), officers of the Santa Cruz Criminal Investigations Department made the seizure during an anti-crime exercise conducted in the district on Tuesday afternoon.
The exercise was coordinated and supervised by (Ag.) Sgt. Quashie.
During the exercise, officers had cause to stop and search a man who was walking along Pipiol Road, Santa Cruz.
The search resulted in officers finding one Smith and Wesson revolver containing four rounds of ammunition and a quantity of marijuana in his possession.
The 34-year-old man of Upper Santa Cruz was arrested in connection with the finds.
Investigations are ongoing.
