The Trinidad-Saudi Chamber of Commerce (TSCC) first Annual Business Forum is expected to bring together business leaders and investment experts from both the Caribbean and Arabian Gulf Regions to look at opportunities in the industrial, commercial and services sectors.

The Forum, which takes place on Wednesday at the Hyatt Regency Hotel and Conference Centre, Port of Spain, will engage a number of diverse presenters on global investment know-how and new market development by building partnerships to support local and interregional investments, import/export of products and services and business growth opportunities.

Highlights of the Vision 2030 plans of both countries will be presented as they seek life beyond Oil/ Gas.

Sessions on the Services Sector, including Tourism, ICT, Finance and Real-Estate, and the Industrial Sectors including Energy and Manufacturing will also feature at the event.

The visiting delegation will comprise some 20 persons with global business interests.  Some of these personalities include:

Mr. William Mobayed - Business Development Manager, Bond Communications, which specialises in state of the art innovative and integrated IT & Technology Solutions with projects such as Dubai Mall, Burj Khalifa, Dubai Airport, Atlantis Dubai, Dubai International Financial Centre, and Ferrari World Theme Park; Dr. Hamid Harasani – published author and founding partner of Harasani & Alkhamees Law Firm who acts for corporations and high net worth individuals and represents international companies looking to invest or set up a branch in Saudi Arabia; Dr. Faisal Atbani - Director, SEDCO Capital, a global asset management firm that offers attractive investment opportunities across global markets including those offered through an international Luxembourg platform.

The TSCC has been leading the promotion and development of trade and commerce between Trinidad & Tobago and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the past five years.

The TSCC brings to its membership in-depth knowledge of the business cultures of both countries, which is essential to facilitate the advancement of commercial interests across borders.

The Chamber maintains an extensive network of relationships with top tier companies and high net-worth individuals in both nations. The membership therefore has special access to lucrative under-explored markets by working through the Chamber.

The key objectives of the Annual Business Forum include the expansion of opportunities for export business; increasing Trinidad and Tobago and Saudi Arabia business interaction and engagement; increasing inter-member business activities; engagement of the wider TSCC Membership; sharing insights on future developmental plans and investments in Saudi Arabia; communicating the TSCC five-year achievements and the 2018-2022 work plan; widening the TSCC network and expanding membership; recognising members who have excelled; and the marketing and promotion of the services of the chamber.
