Scotiabank advises all systems up and running after network outage

Scotiabank is advising customers that all systems are back up and running except for Telescotia, after the bank experienced a network outage on Friday.

The network outage affected customers using ATMs, online and mobile banking, at point of sale and accessing information via Scotiabank’s Contact Center.

In an advisory on Saturday, the bank informed that the issue has been rectified.

“All our systems are up and running except for Telescotia. Customers can successfully use ATMS, online banking, debit and credit cards at the point-of-sale. We will advise you again when Telescotia is fully functioning,” Scotiabank advised.

It said also apologised to customers for any inconvenience caused.

“Once again, we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience. Our teams have been working steadily throughout the night to rectify the network issue and bring your service back to normalcy. Thanks for your patience,” it said.
