Search continues for 3 fishermen after 4 found dead

Emergency responders are continuing a search for three fishermen still missing at sea after four were found dead following a brutal attack at sea. 

The four unaccounted fishermen are Alex Sooknanan, 18, Justin Kissoon, 19, and Jason "Trevor" Baptiste, 30.

Thus far, the bodies of four persons have found which include Brandon "Curry" Kissoon, 21, Shiva "Aries" Ramdeo, 27, Anand Rampersad, 39, and Leslie De Boulet.

Rampersad’s body washed ashore on Wednesday morning off Orange Valley. His body bore several stab wounds.

The other three were found between Wednesday afternoon and Thursday afternoon in the waters off La Brea, Point Fortin, and Cedros.

On Monday night, several fishermen were robbed in the waters of the Gulf of Paria near Carli Bay after a group of armed men held them up and robbed them of their boats and engines before throwing them overboard.

Three men made it to shore.

However, out of the group, seven men could not initially be found.

Two of the fishing boats were found drifting at sea on Tuesday, and at least six boat engines were recovered during police exercises in Sea Lots.

Emergency responders are continuing the search.
