Second Morvant man appears in court for double murder

A second Morvant man has appeared before the Port of Spain Magistrates’ Court, after being charged with the murders of Randy Woods and Nathaniel Cravador.
Thirty-year-old Nathan Nicholas, who was also charged with possession of a firearm and ammunition was remanded into custody when he stood before a Magistrate on Monday.
The victims, 30-year-old Randy Woods aka ‘Ashes’ and ‘Fifty’, and 18-year-old Nathaniel Cravador aka ‘Baba’, both of Never Dirty Road, Morvant were found lying in the roadway along Coconut Drive, Morvant on September 20, with multiple gunshot wounds about their bodies.
The men were taken to the Port of Spain General Hospital for medical treatment where they died.
Nicholas was arrested on December 23 by officers attached to the Morvant Police Station. Charges were laid on December 28, following advice from the Director of Public Prosecutions Roger Gaspard.
Hassam Mohammed, a 36-year-old of Morvant was previously charged by Cpl. Mitchell with the murders of the two victims on October 8.
Nicholas is scheduled to reappear in court on January 9.
