Security guard loses gun
A 41-year-old security guard is in police custody after she allegedly lost her firearm.
The woman, an employee with Allied Security Services, told police on Friday night she armed herself with her pistol and was doing patrols in the Woodbrook community.
During the course of the night, she said she stopped off at a business place to use the washroom.
This was the last time she recalled having her firearm.
It was not until 6 am on Saturday that she realised that the weapon was missing.
The woman retraced her steps, but she was unsuccessful in discovering the weapon – said to be a licensed Glock pistol loaded with 15 rounds of ammunition.
Investigations have been launched by Woodbrook police.
