Senior citizens need appointments to visit Licensing Offices

In an effort to protect the elderly from COVID-19, the Ministry of Works and Transport said all senior citizens must now book appointments before visiting all licensing offices.

In a statement issued Tuesday (August 4), the Ministry said effective immediately that senior citizens must utilise the pre-booking appointment system to conduct business at Licensing Offices.

The Ministry said the changes were made in light of the ‘new national developments regarding COVID-19’

The Ministry said all customers are required to use the website  to schedule appointments.

The MOWT noted an increase in transactions as a result of the closure of Licensing Offices in March and said a new online booking system will be launched from August 10 to accommodate additional time slots.

The Ministry said in the event there are no more time slots available, customers can seek appointments at other office locations.
