Service restored after bmobile customers hit by data, broadband outage

Bmobile customers across Trinidad and Tobago reportedly experienced interruptions to their mobile data and broadband service following an outage at the telecommunications provider on Monday afternoon. 

The outage was as a result of damage to one of TSTT’s fibre optic cables located in Chaguaramas. 

A post to bmobile’s Facebook page said that engineers restored services around 7 pm on Monday, after engineers were able to identify the point of damage to the fibre optic cables and services were normalised about a half hour later.

Customers took to social media to complain of having no access to internet or data services throughout the day. 

Some even said their calls to the internet service provider’s toll free number were unsuccessful as the line also seemed to be affected by the outage. 

The company has assured that all services have since been reactivated.
